ABOUT THESE EARRINGS
These earrings began with the small cobalt charms, whose saturated blue reminded me of the open sky against a desert landscape. Their antiqued silver-plates frames add texture and give the design a collected, Southwestern character.
I shaped upcycled guitar strings into elongated droplets to frame the charms and add gentle movement. The strings keep the musical history of the materials visible while bringing warmth to the blue and silver palette.
